We systematically incorporate environmental and sustainability considerations into our business processes. In doing so, we rely on established management approaches and transparent procedures.
EMAS – ECO MANAGEMENT AUDIT SCHEME
Our company is validated under the European environmental management system EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme). Validation is carried out by an independent, government-accredited EMAS environmental auditor. As part of EMAS, we identify and assess our relevant environmental impacts and use this information to develop measures for the continuous improvement of our environmental performance. Compliance with applicable environmental legislation is evaluated and verified. In addition, EMAS ensures transparency regarding key aspects of our environmental performance through our published environmental statement.
Responsible Supply Chains
We also take environmental and social aspects into account when working with our business partners. Our company is a member of Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange). The Sedex platform helps companies obtain, assess, and share information with business partners on social and environmental aspects within and across the supply chain, as well as on working conditions, health and safety, the environment, and business ethics.
As part of our supply chain management, we evaluate our business partners using a risk-based approach. Depending on the risk rating and the applicable requirements, additional audits may be conducted by independent third parties.
These procedures provide us with a structured basis for evaluating and continuously developing our environmental and supply chain processes.
